RESPONSIBILITIES FOR HOSTING MCPD WORKSHOPS
The
MCPD Committee resolved that any zone that has a reasonable concentration
of Surveyors can apply to host MCPD Workshop.
To help such zones, the Committee listed the responsibilities of the
Hosts as:
i)
Mobilize a minimum of 70 participants and sensitize the General public.
ii)
Arrange for a suitable venue for the Workshop and hotel accommodation
for 2 Secretariat staff, 3 resource persons, 1 Coordinator and the Chairman
of MCPD Committee.
iii)
Arrange for the equipment to be used for the Workshop. These for Part
11 of Geoinformation Technology and Management include P.C’s (Pentium
111 equivalent) with necessary software) - minimum of 4 sets
- Scanner
- Digitizer (Table or Tablet) – at least 2
- Multimedia Projector
- Overhead Projector
- Magic Board
- Printer or Plotter
- Speaker Systems.
(iv)
Collection of MCPD participation fees from participants and remitting
same to the Secretariat in advance. Participants can also pay at the
venue.
(v)
Arrange for 3 resource persons from the zone in Consultation with the
Coordinator and the Chairman of MCPD Committee. Where such persons are
not available in the zones, the MCPD Committee should be informed well
on time.
(vi)
Arrange for 4 facilitators from the zone.
